Management visit, India 2026
This year's trustee visit to our partner NGOs, Care and Crusade, was both inspiring and productive. Alongside reviewing this year's achievements, we discussed budgets and plans for the year ahead to ensure our support continues to make a lasting difference.
At Crusade, we visited many villages where SOTE funded projects are changing lives every day. We saw mobile medical camps providing vital healthcare, women's self help groups building independence, adolescent girls' health programmes, eye camps, tree planting initiatives, kitchen gardens, bore wells, water tanks, and RO water purification systems in schools. We also spent time with communities of people with disabilities and met some of the 100 children sponsored by our supporters. During the visit, we saw housing renovation projects, distributed walking aids, presented two sponsored children with bicycles, and visited tailoring training and other income generating programmes that are helping families build sustainable futures.
At Care, we were honoured to be guests at the inauguration of the new Care Community Building, an exciting milestone that we look forward to sharing more about soon. We also visited every village where we support sponsored children and were delighted to begin working with a new village, where we will be helping more young people access education while supporting their families.
Wherever we travelled, both Care and Crusade welcomed us like family. Spending time with their dedicated staff gave us a deeper understanding of the challenges they face, the successes they celebrate, and the commitment they bring to their work every day.
We are incredibly proud of everything these teams achieve. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are able to provide the funding, while our partners deliver exceptional care and life changing services to some of the most marginalised rural communities.
