New Community Building in Gummidipoondi

Work has officially begun on an exciting new community building in the Gummidipoondi block, marking another important step in our partnership with Crusade and our commitment to supporting rural communities.

During our recent trustee visit, SOTE trustees and Crusade staff came together to mark the beginning of the project by laying the foundation stones for the new building. This special occasion celebrated the start of a facility that will serve local people for many years to come.

Funded by SOTE, the new community hub will provide a dedicated space for a wide range of programmes and services. It will support women's self help groups, income generating training, meetings and physiotherapy sessions for people with disabilities and older people, mobile medical clinics, including the adolescent girls' nutrition programme, and extra curricular classes and monitoring for our sponsored children. The building will also house staff offices, creating a central base for Crusade's work across the Gummidipoondi block.

We are excited to see this project take shape and look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses. Thank you to everyone whose continued support is helping make projects like this possible.
