Increasing Access to Healthcare
SOTE’s health interventions are designed to increase access to healthcare for rural communities. SOTE's health interventions will involve running health camps, training health volunteers and communities, promoting nutrition, herbal medicines and promoting health in schools. Our partners will run camps focusing on diabetes, blood pressure, eye sight, cancer and homeopathy. This work is a reaction to a lack of primary health centres available to the rural communities we work with. The communities we work with expressed the need for primary healthcare that is accessible, reliable and appropriate for their needs.
