A Message from Reena Agarwal, CEO

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I wish you all a very happy start to the new year.

For us at Salt of the Earth, there have been many changes and I have some news to share with you.

Both Tom and I are leaving Salt of the Earth to pursue new opportunities which have coincidently happened at the same time. Tom has taken a new role as interim Director at a charity that works with remote and disadvantaged communities in Nepal and I am moving abroad to live with my boyfriend, Stefan.

Together we have all achieved so much in the past two years and with great happiness, I pass the baton back to Murray to manage Salt of the Earth moving forward. Both Murray and I have worked very closely together and when we came to decide how best to take the organisation forward, after some thought, Murray said he felt in good health to manage the charity again. This was great to hear and I am sure Salt of the Earth will continue to go from strength to strength.

Murray will now become the Managing Trustee and he will be supported by Helena Bullock who will join the team as the new Development Officer. Helena comes with a lot of varied experience and she is looking forward to getting to know you all.

Murray, Janet & Helena will be going out to India this week to meet the partners and I am sure they will have much to tell you when they return at the end of the month. If you would like to get in touch with them then please do. You will be able to contact them at murray@sote.org.uk and helena@sote.org.uk

I would like to thank you all for all your loyal and continued support. As you know, all your donations go a long way and make a huge difference to those in need.

All the best for the future,

SOTE Admin
